| Beadstore.com is the electronic arm of S & A Beads, a small shop crammed with treasures in Takoma Park, MD, just on the edge of Washington, DC. Our store is near Takoma Station on the DC Metro’s Red Line, and not far from the Capital Beltway. See About Us. Our customers are always telling us that a visit to our store is therapeutic. So many beautiful things in such a cozy space, so many talented people, so much culture, craft and good fun. Every member of our staff is an artist in her own right, and always willing and often able to help you with craft issues. To see some of the work our staff produces look at Cheryl Moody's creations or Zoe Stern's work, or Emily Silverman’s. Of course some of the best and most original work that comes out of our shop are produced by our customers. We help them design and put together some extraordinary wearable art. Often the creators have taken classes from Cheryl. Of course, not everybody who loves beaded ornaments was born to string beads. We’ll string them for you. Just tell us how you like it and we’ll estimate what ought to be done, and do it for you. Many of our customers bring their broken treasures to us to repair. We can’t rescue every patient but we restore many. |
