This is a necklace of exquisite very old Brass beads from Africa -- most likely Nigeria.  The beads are beautifully crafted and obviously have been worn for many years.  They have a wonderful patina of age and are all in excellent condition.  While we see beads of this type on occasion, this strand really stands out because of the two extra-long beads at the top of the necklace, and the two bead caps that finish the necklace at the top.  Personally, we have never come across old Nigerian brass beads of this length, and caps are just beautiful too.  The red "coral" beads between the brass are glass and likely of recent vintage.

The necklace measures approximately 23 inches of beads, plus an additional six inches of wrapped cloth cord.  The long beads at the top measure 90 mm long x 15 mm in diameter.
