Beautiful matched set of fibulae from the Berber peoples of Morocco. These fibulae are made out of mixed silver metal, most likely involving old coin silver (traditionally made from melted down European silver coins) and some unknown mix of other metals. The silver work is not as fine as some Moroccan silver work, which lends the pieces a rather unsophisticated but very beautiful look. Each fibula is stamped with what looks like an upside-down capital letter "A" along the top of each piece.
Each fibula measures approximately 5.5 inches tall (141 mm) by 2.1 inches (53.6 mm) wide.
