Antique Berber silver fibulae with original chain.  This is an amazing heavy piece of antique Berber silver work.  These fibulae were used to fasten a Berber woman's tunic, and are traditionally fastened together with a chain of the type shown here -- however, it is very unusual for the original chain to be preserved.  The silver work on these fibulae is somewhat rough-hewn, but totally beautiful. 

There are all sorts of treats here -- the top of the pieces are beautifully stamped, and the entirety of the piece has a wonderful patina.  Additionally, the back of the pendants are just beautiful, and shows quite well how these pieces are put together.   

Each fibula measures approximately 7 inches tall, and approximately 3 inches wide.  The chain is approximately 18 inches long.
