Beautiful antique Tuareg-made dark red agate with a silver setting. The piece is an antique one, and is a lovely red agate, that has been carefully faceted to give the agate a beautiful shine.  Even the edges of the agate have been carefully notched (visible only when you look at it from the side).  The metal is beautiful quality old coin silver, and the etching and designs are just stunning.  One of our favorite pieces of this type. 

These pieces were traditionally worn by Tuareg and Berber women as hair adornments -- though it would make a beautiful pendant or centerpiece for a necklace.  The pendant measures 59 mm tall x 23.5 mm wide.
