This is a strand of African amber.  We think this amber dates back to the 1880's, with just a few reconstuted amber spacers (around 5).  Most of the amber beads are an oval shape a few are in a tube shape.  Each bead measures 24 mm long with a diameter of 20 mm.  There are 32 beads on this 34 inch long strand.  The color base of each bead is a lemon yellow, with mustard colored cracks or impressions.  This strand can be worn as is or remade into something new.
