Amazing antique Turkoman silver necklace with gold wash and hand-cut carnelian stones. Finding a totally intact piece like this was a real treat for us - not only is the main prayer cylinder in excellent condition, but the chain has two beautiful silver components, each with a stone and gold wash. In addition, there are two stones hanging down from the main body of the necklace. While hard to date precisely, this appears to be an early 20th / later 19th century mix of silver and base metal alloys. The stones appear to be old Yemen stones - a couple have minor chips around the edges - but are in decent condition. Overall, just a beautiful one-of-a-kind necklace.
The necklace measures 93 mm wide x 92 mm tall x 16 mm deep. The chain is approximately 24 inches long (plus about three inches for the pendant itself).
