We have four of these wonderful Russian Blue trade bead strands. These beads are just gorgeous -- they are molded glass beads that have been hand faceted. The beads are in varying condition, with a few damaged beads on each strand. But overall, the beads are wonderful.
Russian Blues got their name because they were the favored trade item of Russian fur traders operating in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska during the 18th and 19th centuries. These beads, however, are from the African trade.
The strands measure between 28 to 34 inches long. Beads measure between 11 - 14 mm.
Note: each strand is a little different. We will select the nicest and longest strands! Or if you have a preference, we can send you pictures and you can pick them out yourself.
