These are some seriously old beads! This is a perfectly matched strand of tiny King Beads. Small versions of popular trade beads like these are always very difficult to find. The red brick color of the beads and the rather primitive mixing and shaping of the glass suggest that these beads may date from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. Many of the beads on the strand are in less than perfect condition -- with some of the trail decorations having come off. Still, the beads have a beautiful handled look to them and are very elegant. This strand would make a hard-to-find addition to any collection.
The strand measures 31 inches long and a representative bead measures 9.34 mm in diameter.
