Our inventory of beautiful beads, jewelry, and gifts ranges from ancient and antique treasures to contemporary design, and encompasses cultures from around the world! We have antique African, Nepali, Tuareg & Berber, Turkoman, and Yemeni treasures, and ancient beads from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and South America! We sell beads (both loose and by the strand) made from a wide range of materials to include amber, bone, cinnabar, crystal, glass, horn, metal, nut, and shell, as well as gemstones of every kind. We carry a full assortment of pewter charms made in the USA, and a range of high-quality metal andSterling silver findings. We also feature one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry made by talented local jewelers!
At our store location we offer a wide variety of jewelry-making classes that are sure to be fun and inspiring regardless of your previous training in jewelry-making. Our beginning beading classes teach the basics of bead stringing and wire wrapping. From there, you can explore more specialized techniques in separate classes on metal wire wrapping, knotting, and advanced design in bead stringing. We also offer beading parties where groups of 5 or more can create their own workshop and get assistance on whichever projects and techniques they'd like to try. Many people have met at a jewelry-making class and continued to take classes together, building their own creative community!
Our customers are always telling us that a visit to our store is therapeutic--so many beautiful things in such a cozy space, so many talented people, so much culture, craft, and good fun! Every member of our staff is an artist in her own right, and is always ready to help you with your craft issues. We also have many customers who have exciting design ideas, and would prefer to have us create their designs for them. We welcome these kinds of projects, as well as many types of jewelry repairs.
